Northern Pacific Railway

When the coaches were delivered to the Northern Pacific, the arch windows, potty windows, and clerestory windows all had pressed diamond pattern translucent glass with clear lines and monads. The monads in the window arches and potty windows were sometimes painted red and black. In later years only the original potty window glass was retained.

It appears that all of the cars were rebuilt with air conditioning by 1942, but were quite stylish with all of the monads in the windows.

The original versions of these cars imported by W&R Enterprises from Samhongsa in 1986 were modeled after the Pullman air conditioned units. The air conditioned cars of this production run are modeled after the Wauhesha-Trane air conditioning units which accounted for the vast majority of the cars.
